Oak Forest Pre-Holiday Craft Bazaar and Bake-Off Contest
in Oak Forest Park, Sat., November 23rd
rain date Sun., Nov. 24th
The Oak Forest Pre-Holiday CRAFT BAZAAR features handmade items crafted by your Oak Forest neighbors. Come by Oak Forest Park (North Oak Forest Dr. near the main entrance Hendersonville Rd. entrance) on November 23rd from 10am – 2pm and see what your talented, artistic neighbors have created! You can start your holiday shopping with unique items or take some home for yourself.
This year we’re again doing a Bake-Off (bring your scratch-baked entries to the Park by 11:30 to be judged around noon). Prizes will be awarded! After judging, slices of the entries will be sold and all proceeds donated to Manna Foodbank.
If you are an Oak Forest resident and wish to have vendor space, please email oakforestcraftbazaar@gmail.com (we request that all vendors make a donation to Manna Foodbank which will be collected at the Bazaar).

Annual Oak Forest Property Owners Association Meeting to be held Tues., Sept. 24 at the South Buncombe Library
All owners of homes in Oak Forestwere welcome to the annual Oak Forest POA meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the South Buncombe Library starting at 6pm. Notices were provided 10 days prior per our bylaws.
Oak Forest Annual Picnic in the Park was Saturday, June 1st, 2024
A great community picnic and lots of fun happened in the Oak Forest Community Park on North Oak Forest Dr..
The Oak Forest POA supplied the BBQ main course plus plates, napkins and cutlery. We thank all those who brought delicious potluck sides and/or desserts. Looking forward to next year’s picnic!
Community-Wide Yard Sale on Sat., May 4th in Each Seller’s Driveway or Yard, 8am-noon
Unneeded items became someone else’s treasures on Saturday, May 4th from 8am to noon. Oak Forest neighbors set up at the end of their driveway or front yard and offered what others wanted to buy. Many went around Oak Forest and discovered their own “finds” offered by neighbors.
Egg Hunt in the Park on Sat., March 23, at 2pm
Oak Forest (and related) kids – came ready to find candy and toy-filled eggs in Oak Forest Park on the north side by Oak Forest Blvd. Saturday, March 23rd starting at 2pm (the smaller kids had a few minutes to grab some eggs before the big kids grabbed their share).

Craft Bazaar and Bake-Off in Oak Forest Park
Saturday, December 2nd, 11am-3pm (Bazaar); 1:30pm (Bake-Off judging) was a great holiday gift-buying opportunity. Lots of crafty neighbors offered unique handmade items, and the bake-off was a delicious success.

— Community Halloween Pizza Party in Oak Forest Park
Saturday, October 28th, starting at 4pm, there was fun, food and friendship for kids of all ages. Kids got this early opportunity to show off their costumes before trick-or-treating around the neighborhood on Halloween itself — because twice is more fun than once.
Oak Forest Property Owners’ Association Annual Meeting for 2023 – In Person at the Library
This year’s Oak Forest POA Annual Meeting was held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 6pm at the Skyland/South Buncombe Library, 260 Overlook Road. Many Oak Forest property owners attended, bringing ideas for the neighborhood and hearing the POA updates and upcoming community events.
2023’s Annual Oak Forest Community Picnic in the Park
On Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, around 4pm, neighbors came out for a Community Picnic/Potluck/Party in the Park. The Oak Forest Property Owners’ Association provided barbeque plus paper plates and cutlery. Many brought sides, salads or desserts — nobody left hungry and the event was lots of fun!
